Shot-gunning ADSL??

Is this possible. I know you can shotgun two 56k modems? So is this possible with ADSL??

Please remember, im doing this cause im not a resident of the US, where you can get nice fast speeds (up/down) with ADSL!

Cheers

Assuming your ISP lets you (or you find another service in addition to your current DSL), you will need either Linux, or Windows 2000 Advanced Server to do load balancing for you - but it will work. 🙂

NOOOO...this cannnot be done...each dsl account is tied to 1 number and your DSL is started at your Dslam port (too much detail to explain)(this goes around the switch at the centeral office).

You actually do not have to have dial tone to have DSL...

I agree with the NawingMaximum fan, YOu can do LOAD BALANCING..which give you basically two seperate lines on one terminal, but still, you have two SEPERATE connections, not one of the combined speeds.......

I asked a similiar question here. The only difference is I was going to use a cable modem and dsl. There are a few good replies.

If you had 2 phone lines in a house, would you be able to have 2 dsl lines?

lastig21,

You can have have DSL on every "GOOD" working cable pair to you house or place of residence. If you have a DAML (which is 2 numbers on a single cable pair) you cannot have DSl at all, until your line is re-provisioned by your local phone company or carrier.
