Shortwave Radio FM/AM Recommendations

I was considering this Grundig but I don't know if there were other radios that would perform better in that price range. Any recommendations or suggestions?

That model has really poor selectivity. If I had to buy new in that price range I would get the Grundig Yact Boy 400 PE while they are still around. I know Universal Radio still has some in stock. Also that radio is the Tecsun BCL 2000 with the Grundig name on it. You can find the Tecsun model for half the price on Eb@y. The Sangean ATS 909 is what I use for a portable and is about the best portable I have ever owned next to the Sony ICF 2010.
