Short Throw Projectors

I need to pick up 2 short throw projectors. Showing videos/images from a laptop and running PowerPoint through them.

I have never used a short throw. We travel with the projector and most often, set up in small classrooms within 10' of the screen.

Any pros/cons?
Will any run off a flash drive so I don't have to lug around a laptop?
Built-in speakers?

how big a projection do you need?

Projector central has calculators that show you distance, image size, lumen, etc.
