Shopping for Digi Cam. Which one . Canon A70/A80/S400/S50

Hello,

I am kinda torn between those 4 Cameras. All of them are in the same price range or pretty close. I am using an old HP 1 MP Camera so anything better then taht piece of Shiet. Anyway I have narrowed it down to the Canon I860 Photo Printer and need a digi cam to go with it.

I will mostly be taking pics of LAN Parties, and my cat. I know weird combo but that would be pretty much it.

So if anyone here has any of these cameras. Let me know

The S400 is an awesome camera, takes amazing pics and its small as hell, only 1 issue, IT SUCKS IN LOW LIGHT (lan party), as do most super compact cameras, the lens just isnt big enough to let in enough light, other ten that its a great camera,

the SD100 is just like the s400 just 3mp instead of 4mp

Personally I like the Pentax Optio 555 - its 5mp 5x optical zoom, its small - not as small as the s400 but small enough, works better in low light and it has 1 more mp, can be had for about the same price as the s400 also

it depends on what you want. if you would like more manual features, go with the a70/a80.

i personally have an s400 and i love it. i'm not much of a features person - i just wanted a REALLY GOOD point and shoot digital camera that was also small in size. there are some neato features on there that i've only recently figured out how to use and it makes the camera even more awesome.

s400 twin is s230
sd100 uses sd card and smaller than s400 & s230

The Pentax Optio 555 is an awesome ultra compact digicam.

What about a samsung v4? These are like a hundred bucks cheaper then other 4 mp cameras without the 50 dollar rebate thats out, and I havnt heard anything bad about them. Then again, I havnt heard much Period.

The 3.2MP were going for 150 AR a while back. Reviews were pretty solid and it had German lenses (forgot the brand)

Yes Pentax makes it they are a camera company, have been for a LONG time

i think the a80 is better at low light than the a70 so i would go for that
