Shopping Cart question

Hi! I've been reading posts re: some of the best shopping carts to use.

I have back issues of a magazine that I publish. They're all in PDF files and I currently sell hard-copy xeroxes of these back issues that I mail to the customers. I'd like to offer them on my website so people can pay and immediately download the files, but I'd like to have it secure in some way so that one person can't just email someone else the link so others download it for nothing... Can anyone direct me to where I can get information on how to do this?

Also, I have a static IP address and am planning to move my current website onto my own server. I assume I can do this if I use a shopping cart on my own site?

Any suggestions are much appreciated. 🙂

 
You do realize that, sure they won't be able to pass around the link to download it, they could infact just give someone the copy of the PDF?

Yes, I do realize that. ...but not sure what my other options would be ...or if one can keep anything secure these days. LOL I'm open to suggestions.
 
There has to be some way to do this...although I realize that anything/everything eventually shows up on a newsgroup, Kazaa or some such.
