Shootout in garage caught on camera

Not much of a shoot out with one shooter.😛

But...good shoot. He would not be in jail in SC. The shots in the back would be overlooked.:sneaky:

Edit: Maybe the crook did get off one or two.

The robber who came up to the passenger door did have a gun and he did fire it, although thankfully by the looks of it he didn't hit anybody.

Effing English language... had to enter thread to find out if it was a parking garage, a house garage, or a mechanic's garage.

Three robbers take on a homeowner in Brazil. If it happened in California, the homeowner would be in jail right now.
No, he wouldn't. He didn't chase them beyond his property line, in fact not even beyond his own garage door. There are plenty of justified self-defense shootings in CA.

In the back? Even here, you can't shoot in the back if the threat is running away. Now, Texas, I would believe it.

You don't seem to be familiar with CA law. Try shooting a fleeing suspect in the back and see what happens there.

Well, the hand of one.....If one dies, the others get charged with murder here.

According to a report on TV, it was an off-duty cop. One of the suspects died and the other two were arrested.

I dunno if Brazil has a felony murder rule though.

Yeah, but I would think the home owner may still be at risk of being charged for shooting the suspects once they were running away (if he had hit them?).
That's what I was saying. Shoot the peeps running, in the back, then the homeowner might get charged. Kill the 1st perp and the runners get charged with murder. At least around here.

I usually aim for the shoulder or ankle if they are running away. It usually causes them to pivot 180º just long enough to shoot them in the front.

Wow, I was really hoping those were blanks he was shooting out into the street. Further, to me it appears the officer may want to change up calibers/JHP ammo or practice better shot placement..

:\

Cops average a 19% hit rate in the US. Also, iirc, 80% of people shot don't drop immediately.
