Suspect

Love those commercials!

Yea, I just read that. I was following on MSNBC and they said something else. So I was mistaken.
Warning: Admitting one was mistaken on the Internet may do serious damage to the World Wide Web. Or maybe not. We do not have enough history of such admissions to make a reasonable guess.

Hard to understand how two such relatively wealthy and reasonably attractive young men could go so terribly wrong in such a land of opportunity. People talk about poverty breeding terrorism, but the poor seem to be mostly busy trying to get by. Terrorists (or at least Islamic terrorists and American left-wing terrorists) seem to be usually upper middle class or better off. American right wing terrorists do seem to be typically losers with no real reason to live, but they appear to be the exception.

Bizarre. Who needs 72 virgins when with money and at least average looks one can easily get women who actually know what they are doing?

Even now I don't believe we really know much. They are Islamic but those from the region these two originate are almost always anti-Russian. Since we aren't exactly on buddy terms with the latter we don't see much, at least until now.

As far as I can tell we have ex-Soviet satellite expats who are (and is this been determined definitively?) Muslim. It could be they are just off their bloody nut and not have any religious reason for attacking. No friggin clue.

Suspect is believed to be hiding in a boat in someone's backyard. Someone called and reported that there is an injured man in their boat out back.

EDIT: He's sitting up. Cops communicating with him. They want him to get out of the boat and to show that he isn't strapped.

They want to take him alive, it seems.

They have bomb sniffing dogs...yet, they are afraid to apprehend him. They are saying that he appears to be in a weakened state, but they won't move in.

What are the dogs there for if they aren't working?

Sounds like he was talked into doing this crazy shit. Who knows for motives unless they get him alive. Could be cultural and religious too. His brother mentioned I've never had any American friends I don't understand them.

What's the rush? Why risk more lives? He's not going anywhere. As far as the dogs go they are on standby. When he eventually is taken/killed they are going to cover the area completely just in case there's something nasty around.

They keep talking to people who went to school with him that weren't actually friends with him lol

However, these people say that the younger kid was very outgoing and had many friends and that he was a cool kid.

His brother seemed like a total opposite of his brother. I think his brother is the mastermind. Too bad we can't get answers from them both.

He's bleeding. He's weak. Its cold outside. He's been out there all day...he could go into shock and die. If they have dogs that can sniff bombs...why are they running around trying to figure out how to get him out of the boat? If he doesn't have explosives and you know he's weak...why cant we just gas him and pull him out of there?

Just heard they brought in a hostage negotiator. He's going to get tired and maybe, just maybe, they'll get him out alive. I will say that he's lucky there's as much coverage as there is otherwise he's automatically dead.

He's already tired. They keep saying his heat signature is weak. They know he is wounded and weak.

I think they want to kill him. I don't think they are going to take him alive.

Edit: THE GOT HIM IN CUSTODY NBC says.

They're now saying he's in custody and alive. On his way to the hospital.
What kind of condition they haven't said.

Evidently they didn't want to kill him. Now suppose he did have a bomb? Dead man's switch? Can you tell me why he was worth another death? Five? Ten? None. They did the right thing and waited it out.

I was listening to the scanner feed, the dog was there in case he ran in addition to possible sniffing for explosives. But I am sure they assumed he still had explosives anyway.

US soldiers are not planting IED's in crowds of civilians intending on killing as many men, women and children as possible. So yeah, I think he is infinitely worse, and it really doesn't make sense to compare the two anyway.

And if you are pissed at the soldiers, then you must be really pissed at the government who is sending them there.

Because it wasn't a Tea Party guy?

lol. Also, Desura sure has been quiet recently. :whiste:

It sure would be interesting to get a psychologists take on someone who feels the need to blame acts like this against their political enemy without any proof. It is almost like they get happy at the prospect their political opponent committed an act of terror.

Anyway, I am sure a shrink could explain it, would be very interesting. Probably has to do with seeing a car with a "Reagan 4 Pres" bumper sticker running over their puppy when they were a kid or something like that.

And these threads too will soon pass into obscurity...

Because you posted this...?

I guessing this is part of the promised war from American extremist groups if Obama were to be re elected. Fueled by right wing talk radio.
And the fat bastards know who they are...
No surprisingly directly connected to the killing of government officials of late.
No, this won't be some dark skinned foreigner from the middle east with a backpack, this will end up a white guy, shaved head, tattooed, white supremacist very well organized and very well armed.
For them, we are now the enemy.

Yeah, so, how's that working out for you dipshit?
