Shooting at Knoxville Hooters

It happened Friday. I had left about 30 minutes earlier, and, according to Kris, one of my friends, the guy was arguing with the waitress about his tab. Kris came over to the table after it became heated, and told the guy that his tab would be covered and to get out. As he was leaving the building, he turned around, pulled out a pistol and fired throught he window, killing an guy from Michigan (who had 2 kids), and injuring Kris. The bullet ripped through an artery below Kris' left shoulder, and he was in critical condition all of Saturday, but he's stable now. KPD was involved in a shootout with the suspect yesterday, and he's dead now.

It's crazy to think that if my wife hadn't have called me to come home, I would have still been there when this happened.

Hmm... I read about this yesterday, thinking "damn, that dude got away" and then this morning, i read that the cops found him and shot and killed him. Then I was like "bastard got what he deserved... right on".

It has more meaning now that it's affected someone on this forum... glad your friend is doing OK after that; and it could have been a lot worse. Also glad you dodged that scene, as close as it was. I can relate to that... one time, a jet crashed and burned at a location I was standing at 10 minutes prior. Scary stuff.

Good, I'm glad the little fvcker is dead now. Sucks about the father from michigan.

That's what pisses me off the most. Just hanging out, having a few beers, then, dead. He didn't do a damn thing to that guy.

Umm...probably inappropriate for this thread, but this is ATOT...

?It?s a terrible disease, ? Robert Rudd said. ?If he had cancer, he would have gotten help. But the system failed him.?

Although David Rudd hasn?t held a job and had been kicked out of his parents? Sevier County home, the man had not been violent, Robert Rudd said.

?This is something we expected, but I thought it would be violence toward my brother and his wife,? Robert Rudd said.

The system failed him because he wouldn't take his medication? WTF? Why didn't the guy's dad do more to help him?

No, I'm friends with a bunch of employees there. This isn't the time nor place for pics, sorry.

Looks like you beat me to it while I was replying.
