Anyone eaten shoe fly pie? The last time I had it was about 7 years ago up in Pennsylvania (actually I think you can only get it in PA). I was dreaming about it today....
 
It's a dessert, don't know what they put in it (not sure if I really want to know LOL), but it tastes great!

It's a pie made of shoe flies, duh. In the South during the heat of the summer, they put out a pan of water-down honey, which attracts shoe-flies - they get stuck in the honey after drinking some of it. When the pan if full, you scrape it out into some flour with a few other ingredients, mix, bake, and you've got pie. Very high in protien, tastes okay.
