Shogun problems with Annihilator Pro

Hi - I'm running a PIII 500 with Creative Labs Annihilator Pro (32 MB DDR) using nVidia 650 reference drivers, and am having problems playing Shogun. Specifically, when I try to run the game, the screen goes dark (as if the game is starting), and then after a few seconds, I get bounced back to the desktop. Not a crash, but a bounce.

I read that you have to go into Start-->Run-->"dxdiag" and disable DirectDraw Acceleration to get the game to work. Well, when I do that, the game does indeed start up fine, but then all of the 3D battle scenes run like a slide show (suggesting that I need Direct Draw Acceleration to be engaged). Does anyone know how to get Shogun to run smoothly with a Annihilator Pro card? Thanks.

No, it appears that the game requires Direct3d to run. I see no mention of Open GL in the manual.

Actually, I discovered the answer by going to EA's forum. You have to download beta versions of nVidea drivers (apparently a lot of other TNT/GForce users have had the same problem). I downloaded the beta 10.80 drivers and the game now works smooth as silk. Here is the link from which I got the beta drivers:

Thanks for answer my post anyway guys!
