I'm flat footed and I need shoes with less arch. it kills my feet to wear shoes with high arches.

wouldn't it make sense to have less of an arch? Why force an arch into a flat foot? That sounds uncomfortable

If you are flat footed you want to look for shoes that stress motion control and correct overpronation.

Brooks Beast, Nike Structure, Asics GT 2100, ect are shoes that try to reduce motion control.

I'm kinda like that, I wore those indoor soccer Adidas shoes for years, no arch and it killed my feet. My problem is if I get shoes that are too big, or not enough arch, the middle of the bottom of my feet hurt, like the muscles are stretching too far and tearing or something.

I have the flattest feet of anyone I've ever met (who didn't quack).

Shoes made by Brooks and Asics tend to be more flat-friendly, but certain New Balance shoes are also good--especially since they have variable widths.

What's most important is to try different shoes with different arches in the store. The Brooks Beast seems to be the most popular shoe among people with flat and semi-flat feet but when I tried it on, it felt way too bulky and the arch was more aggressive than I would have liked.

My current running shoes are a New Balance model whose number escapes me at the moment.
