An alternative to shoe polish can be found in your company's medical box.

I grabbed a packet of Antibiotic Ointment and smeared it on my brown shoes and.... voila!

Clean shine and waterproof too!

Anyone else got any more home remedies they want to share?
 
I did this too. Actually works well but I still prefer and spit polish at the airports. I try to do it at home but never get it as good.
