Need help from someone familiar with Macromedia shockwave, and an old utility called shockmachine.
I am gathering resources for a web resource. I have a whole bunch of shockwave *.dcr files.
Shockmachine was an app with which I could store all of these files and access them all at once with a single interface, it is pretty slick, easy to use, and useful. The browser based player doesn't allow any flexibility for organizing and using multiple .dcr files. I basically have to go to each file and launch them separately, which stinks.
I had no trouble using this as of about a month or two ago, but now with the latest version of Shockwave 10.0.0.210 - dated 3/25/04 Shockmachine won't work. It asks for me to install shockwave version 8.
I assume that Macromedia no longer supports shockmachine and before the latest version it still worked. So... How can I:
1) install an older version of Shockwave that is compatible with shockmachine?
2) A better option it seems to me is to find a newer version of shockmachine or something that is similar that is compatible with current and future versions of shockwave.
Some other options that I'm unaware of???
