WoW is amazingly complex and suffers from relatively little downtime, and you've never seen an IT organization do as badly as the Blizzard WoW team?
 
I used to be addicted and waited for servers to go up too. Then I got a job and life and servers going up later doesnt bother me at all.

I'm so glad I never got into this game. I'd be a lost puppy like the rest of you I'm sure. For now, I'll just stick to my FPS and Starcrack when I need a fix.

A lot of WoW haters in here. It's just a game people choose to play, albeit a very time consuming game. That doesn't mean everyone who plays is depressed or any worse off than people that don't play are. It's no different than any other hobby/activity that is time consuming (like sitting in front of the TV for hours watching sports or movies).

The comments from players stating "I used to play, but then I got a life", that is just sad. You are basically saying you suck at balancing your priorities. If you are that upset with how much you play the game, just do something else and come back later, the game isn't going anywhere. If you can't, then you probably have an addictive personality, and in that case be thankful that wow is your only vice, there are much worse things to be addicted to.

I'll have to agree with the "I QUIT N GOT A LIFE" remarks being pretty stupid. It just shows a lack of balance and discipline in your life. I'm glad you able to quit something due to your addicting personality. Good for you. But it makes you sound like a Nazi thinking you are better than those who play. But it's you who are the loser who failed to have any control in your life.

I play a few hours a day with my brother and some former college buddies. I have a full-time job and have a few more activities I do besides WoW. It's not like I carry an organizer with me or plan ahead. Maybe I should quit WoW and go get a life? I don't know but it feels I already have one?
 
I know I'm better than those who play, cause it's such a terrible game 😛. Looking back, I'm not sure I enjoyed it at all after the first month or two (outside of playing with friends).
 
I liked WoW when I had enough free time to play it constantly and be elite, but I can't stand playing it as just a casual. It's a conundrum - I sometimes want to start playing it again because I want to see all the new features and such, but I know that if I do I'll just be bored and wonder why I wasted $15 to reactivate my account.

LOL! Just implying that more free time was available for *ahem* other activities. No offense to any WOW player was meant. Its all good.
