You can get a "consealed weapons" permit in good ole' SC. You just take a course. It's worthless if you ask me though, because every place you go has a sign saying "no concealed weapons allowed". Even if you have the liscence. So what's the point?

I don't think I would call anyone in the state of Utah bright. As for a city like Tombstone, WTF do you expect, they named their city tombstone.

Trike: This is far, far too much overkill for an ignitor. A potato gun ignitor is supposed to provide the necessary electricity to merely ignite/spark a flamable material. To see all the dangers, you would really have to kill yourself 10x with the thing, but I can come up with a couple out of my head.
Potential problems I see:
1.High voltage=dangerous, you idiot
2.certain flamable liquids you might use are conductive, and if you contact the liquid during ignition in any way(through the vapor exaust, for example, while the current is still on), watch the fsck out.
3.Battery. Stun guns are only meant to function for a very limited time(enough to pop someone and run) and using it as an ignitor would suck juice.
4.Durability. You do not want to see what happens to a short circuit at 100,000 volts.
5.This much voltage could potentially ignite the PVC.
6.Exploding potatos. This is enough current, when hooked up to a potato, to fry it and make it explode long before the fuel explosion hits it.

Texas, where I live, allows concealed carry so be careful who you choose to rob here. You can have the tables turned on you quickly. From what I remember, Arizona had an open carry law, but it was changed to a concealed carry law. It was/is state-wide, not city. Texas penal code (huh, huh, I said penal) states clearly that if a business doesn't want you to carry in their store, they must post a sign with very specific language and the sign must quote the penal code statute. If it doesn't, then just ignore it. A sign that simply says "No guns" is not binding.
Anyway, I guess this is a good deal for a little shocker toy thingy. But for personal protection, stick with 230 grain .45 Hydra-Shoks.

Yah, here in Arizona we can get our concealed weapon's permit. And we can carry a gun openly on the street if we like. I prefer a double barrel shotgun and a bullhorn. Nobody messes with me. They usually won't even make eye contact. Just kiddin bouts the shotgun! My rig is a Sig 226 with these: Crimson Trace
It would be nice to have a reliable taser gun though. Cleaning up the mess after a shootout is such a bore.

Lots of helpful posts in here so far. I purchased this exact guy from this company. I imagine it is about the same as the $9 ones on flea-bay. It makes a cool blue spark, which has my kids very impressed. Never have tried it on someone to see if it actually works though. Plus it turns out it is illegal in my state, oops.
.50 milliamps is enough to kill, just for anyones information if wanting to stun for fun. You never know the condition of someones ticker..........

Not to mention that in the last session our legislators addressed the fact that every schmoe in the world was sticking the legal "can't carry in here" sign in their window. You'll notice that the vast majority of the places that used to have those signs now have the one that says "the unlicensed possession of a firearm on these premises is illegal..." (paraphrased). The legislature really cut down on the number of places that can post the 30.06 sign (the one that says you simply can't ever bring a concealed weapon in).
But you still can't carry in amusement parks, sports venues, or places that derive 51% or more of their revenue from the sale of alcohol (these places will be noted by a sign with a large red "51" posted somewhere close to the entrance -- a sign you've probably never noticed unless you went through the class, but you'll see them all over now that I mentioned it!).
I love living in Texas! We don't need no stinkin' STUN GUNS!!
