{Shocked}Why does Russia GDP is so lowww.(Any Russian)

Today i was surfing GDP of various countries.I have seen USA,China there gdp is about 14 TRI.Where as Russia gdp is 1 TRI.(Shocked).Its area is about almost equal of both countries but its gdp so low..Where as india where 77% ppls are poor.But there gdp is about 1 TRI.i think Any russian ppl may give right info about their country why there gdp is so low.

Russia is incredibly poor. Only the top 5% or so have any money. Everyone else is scraping by. Wonderful country though.

Because Russia is a hell hole. Dyed in the wool hell hole. I think it has among the highest per capita heroine addiction rates. But, since it's a hell hole it can't even afford heroine, so the populous are increasingly using krokodil. And last time I told somebody not to check on pics of that drug, they did anyway and said yeah you were right I shouldn't have. Don't. But it's bad. And it's from Russia.

Population pyramid of Russia as of 1 January 2010. "Waves" are caused by huge losses in the WWII. The sharp narrowing in the base of pyramid is caused by consequenses of economic collapse of 1990s.

For those who haven't studied population pyramids I quoted the small tidbit from wikipedia. This makes a huge difference too. Combined with Russia's corruption and huge substance abuse problems their population is not only incredibly poor, unhealthy, but also shrinking. They've had a small spike in recent years but overall Russia is a really messed up country because of Stalin, WWII, Communism, and the incredible corruption since then.

For comparission here is a population pyramid of the USA (in millions instead of percent, sorry)
