By the way, how can the OP be completely sure that abortions actually take place? Has he personally witnessed an abortion? Is it even possible to abort a fetus?

In fact, how can he be sure that fetuses even exist? And forget fetuses, aren't there legitimate questions about the existence of children? I mean, has anyone seen a child GROW. As far as I can tell, they're small and then sometime later they're larger, and then a month or so later, they're even larger. And this process continues and continues and continues. It's as if the government replaces each "child" periodically with a slightly larger version. Wow!

But getting back to all of these so-called abortions: Isn't a far, far better explanation that the government is just planting stories about "abortions", with the intention of riling up a gullible public, to distract everyone from recognizing the true danger - the nefarious plot to control our minds? I mean, is there any other possible explanation?

Oh come on... Everyone knows Obama is a reptile person from the center of the Earth. WHy would he want pod people? It is obvious they want to control abortion clinics so they can monitor and abort any fetus that isn't secretly a reptile baby.
