Never really been a fan of "fruity" beers.. but was talking to a friend the other day, and he recommended Shock Top.

Tried the Raspberry Wheat...

Pours a surprisingly orangish/yellow color...slightly cloudy.

Fast pour gives a LARGE head which disappears pretty quickly
Slight Raspberry Aroma, stronger Raspberry undertones throughout the beer.

Slightly over-sweet flavor... which sticks around long after completion.

More like a wine-cooler than a beer.

Not sure why you would want rasberry bear. The only fruity beer i like is blue moon. For some reason the citrus taste works with that one.

It was the only single-bottle shock top in the liquor store i went to.

I go to a local place here called Tipsy's

They're one of the largest alcohold retailers in Colorado, with 87.000 square feet.

They have a pretty huge selection of beers, and they have a special, 6-pack singles (you pick) for $8.99

I went and grabbed 6 different bottles that i've never tried before.

It's a good way to sample a large variety and not break the bank.

I haven't tried the Raspberry Wheat, but I think the Belgian White is the best beer I have ever drank.
Label says Citrus, but I can't taste any citrus myself.
(I do not drink much alcohol usually, but after having one of these served to me, I try to keep some around the house.)

Not to be snobby, but that's made by Anheuser-Busch. No sense in paying a premium for it when microbrews are just as much. And 99/100 times the micro brew will be better. Why? Anheuser-Busch is sales/marketing company whose product is beer. The micro breweries are brewers.

I say this as a beer snob and someone with experience in food production.

stopped reading after the first line.

i don't give a crap what "snobs" and "foodies" have to say

As someone who has worked in food production, just trying to explain why you're paying the same amount for a worse product. One company spends their money on making a good product, another company spends their money on advertising a shitty product. You don't even have to do a taste test to make a good guess as to which will be better.

personally I don't care what you drink, enjoy

Shock Top is a great beer, never had the on OP's talking about, but their regular is always good. I would take it 10/10 over a beer that's more expensive simply because it came from a micro brewery. M.B. beers out here are always a good deal more expensive than Shock Top, and I honestly don't like them any better.

Give Pyrimid Apricot Ale before you give up on all fruity beers.

I'll admit I dislike all other fruity beers but the Apricot Ale.

Do not like. Have tried 4 varieties I think, maybe just 3 though, ST just isn't for me.

People have vastly different tastes in beers though, just like anything.

I like shock top but it's overpriced, I can get much better craft beers for the same price.

Blue Moon's good, but Shock Top's $2 less a six pack here, and I honestly I can't say I like one better than the other. So I'll take the one that's less expensive.
