*.shn file question

can these files be read by most home and portable cd players? or do i need to convert it to *.wav first if i am want to burn a *.shn file?

They can't be read by anything other than the decompressor program (and Winamp, if you have the SHN plugin) -- you have to convert to WAV and then burn to a CD if you want to play on a separate audio device.
