Shipping mistake = overnight for me! :) UPDATE: back to ground.

My Linksys router died last week, so I did their online RMA process, and had a new router as of Thursday night. I went to OfficeMax last night to ship the defective router back, and I paid $5.80 for a Ground shipment from Ann Arbor to Irvine, CA.

Today, I checked the tracking info and it tells me that it was shipped "Express" - and according to the Airborne website, Express = overnight!

Too bad it's not a shipment where the transit time actually mattered! 🙁

EDIT: the status now says Ground. Don't tease me, Airborne! 🙁

this happens very frequently with airborne esp from omax. i've had about 5 or 6 packages i sent ground that flew crosscountry and were delivered overnight. i guess their planes aren't full enough.

not really. Those teens who work at OMAX do not know the difference between the express and regular ground shipping tags. They use the expess tag and charge you for the ground. 😀

Strangely enough though, the tag that I have (the carbon copy tear-off thing) says GDS (Ground Delivery Service). Maybe it's just a tracking error and it really is ground...hmmm.

BOO! I just checked the status again, and the shipment type has been changed from Express to Ground. 🙁 Don't tease me, Airborne!
