Just for the record you are referring to an Asp. Baton's and Knightsticks are made of composite materials and do not extend. Just something I had to throw out there 🙂

Hey, BTW, where did you hear these are illegal to own? I just looked it up and found a few people on forums saying they are fully legal, and also found some for sale on UK sites... are you sure they are illegal?

who would really think such a thing is illegal when its nothing more than a heavy stick. Knives and guns I can understand...but a stick? cmon..

Well exactly.

It might be illegal to carry it in a public place or something, as it's clearly a weapon, but just to own? I mean you can own knives and guns as long as you don't carry them round...

Hmm my dad said this was the case, he mentioned they would not ship to him because of this. Might be shens from the online store, or maybe its a law specific to Scotland or the urban area he lives in.

You should get in touch with my cousin. He's developed a high-end extending baton/taser. It zaps the person with 50,000 volts and knocks them down and all you gotta do to make it extend is flick your wrist and pull a trigger. 😀

He brought a prototype into my office a few weeks ago. Before I could blink, it was an inch from my face and sparks were shooting out of the tip. Scared the crap out of me.

Love the maglite idea and the sears thing 😀

Though I just found this link:

USPS Guidelines

I dont see Baton listed as a prohibited item to ship via USPS to the UK... So I think i'll just wrap it and ship it as a gift and hope for the best.

Going from that list though, it would not be legal for me to ship a live bee or for that matter, seal skin (unless from an accepted source...a seal?)

So, any ideas on how I can get a live bee to my dad? 😛

I dunno, that one looks flashy and what not. Certainly not something that is issued to Police Officers like an Asp. (My Dad was a Part-Time Sheriffs Officer a few years ago).

Horror comics and matrices. why is that prohibited? and what are horror matrices?

what do they consider arms and parts of arms?

nite/nightsticks are for the beating maidens.

Knightsticks are for meating maidens.

I don't think I have ever in 20 years saw someone confusing Knight and Night though 😕.

i would use ems or global priority and chance it....label it as a gift and a handicap aid.

Customs sucks though...I have had 2 packages never beeing seen again (chocolate and beef jerky to Japan as real gifts).
