Shipping a CPU

Put it in between a couple of pieces of foam - then in a mylar static-proof bag, and put all in a small box. Put that in a padded bag or another box with padding and ship.

Shouldn't I put the static bag first, then the foam? I always thought foam has static because it clings on to stuff.

I put it in static then put foam on it when I shipped mine. I think it was fine I sold it on Ebay, so the guy never contacted me about it.

Retail CPUs come w/ the plastic holder for the CPU, put your CPU back in that holder, tape it up w/ scotch tape, but that in an antistatic bag you get from any video card and what not, wrap that tight and tape it up too, then put it between 2 pieces of soft foam, more tape, put it into a card board box (I always use USPS priority box), more tape. Ship.
