The expansion cards are quite secure in their slots and buy a screw in the slot cover, so IMHO there is no need to remove them. As long as you don't have some exotic heatsink/fan on the system that you are shipping you should be able to leave it intact. Taking the PCI/AGP cards out will help prevent damage. Other than the cards and the HSF, you dont have much to worry about getting damaged.
