Shippign a computer...

I built a computer for a friend. I am going to ship it to him on Monday (from Indiana to Florida). I am using the original case box and foam to pack it. Basically I jsut put the assembled computer back in its box. Should I do anything else? I am only really worried about one piece - the hardrive. Will the harddrive survive the trip without being shipped special? how do the heads lock inside the HDD? How can I be sure that they are locked in place? This is a nice computer and I want him to be able to use it when it gets there. I am gonna insure it, but I really am not worried about covering damage. I jsut want him to get a working machine. I have the box tatooed with FRAGILE and GLASS, so it should be plenty obvious that it is in need of gentle hands, but that never stopped UPS from tossing stuff around before.

Should I pack and ship the HDD separate? or jsut leave it in its place attached inside the case?

Nope... its a socket processor with a modest HS/F... I don't anticipate it coming off. SO i just shove the WHOLE box in another box? Good idea. Thanks Red Dawn!

PS: Do you ever sleep? Of course, I am awake also...
