Shipped Package to Wrong Address

A Newegg order was accidentally shipped to my address at college instead of my address at home... and now the tracking info says it has already been delivered, even though I know I never provided FedEx with a signature waiver to leave packages at the door. No one is in the apartment complex offices on Christmas Eve for me to call and request that they keep the box in storage until I arrive there.

And here's the best part: I can't seem to track down the number for the local Fed-Ex drop-off location. I've been looking around the FedEx website trying to get a number, but the best I can find is an address, and that isn't going to help me much from here in PA. The customer service number is just giving me the automated message machine which spews a bunch of options that won't help me.

Has anyone been in this situation before, or can anyone tell me how to get a number for a FedEx location?

Update:

Okay, so, after getting the same automated message machine with the sh!tty options, I yelled "Rep! Rep! Customer Rep!" into the phone for a few minutes until I got ahold of a human being. I gave the representative (a very nice lady) the tracking number, and lo and behold, the address the tracking number says the package was delivered to was right here at my home in PA, whereas the online trace on the FedEx website says its in Blacksburg, VA, and the package definitely isn't here.

The one thing the representitive did confirm for me was that they did NOT have a release signature for me, and thus I was not liable for any damages done to the package... I told her that the box was filled with computer hardware and she just about sh!t a brick.

So now a driver has been dispatched to go pick up the package and take it back to the station, where at least it won't be sitting in sub-freezing temperatures. I call back in a few hours to find out what happens from here, and hopefully actually get ahold of someone sitting in the pickup station who can physically see the box.

I also went back and checked the NewEgg confirmation on the order... apparently NewEgg shipped to my Blacksburg address, even though I specifically checked the option to send the package to the billing address (right here)... So, the final situation is, NewEgg sent to wrong address, but the tracking number on the FedEx computers shows the right address, but it was delivered to the wrong address, and the online tracking history I'm looking at right now shows the wrong address (where the package actually is). And the package never should have been set on the ground anyway, as I never signed a release form to do that for my Blacksburg apartment.

Update #2:

Wow, I got screwed.

FedEx placed the pickup on another package that showed up here a few days before with my name on it... so someone came to this address looking to pick up the box. :( Sat on the phone with a rep for another 30 mins working it out and placing the pickup on the right box, but it's going to be chilling out (literally) on my doorstep in VA for the weekend as its too late to do it today. Around this time of the year FedEx has some kind of customer agreement that a package can be left without a signature to get deliveries in if the driver feels its safe to do, unless the shipper tells them specifically not to do so.

Still can't figure out why NewEgg shipped there... probably some stupid mistake I made while ordering.

This blows. Gah.

Already apologized to the little bro, his RAM won't be here for Christmas.

How low a tempature is needed to damage computer hardware?

What type of equipment?

A mobo, some RAM, and a processor. Also some cabling and a heatsink/fan combo in there.

For temps your probably safe, motherboards look like they can be stored between -68°F & 176°F.

I once recieved an R9800pro with the heatsink popped off because FedEx left it in the cold. Just as well, because I was going to do that myself.

Yeah, then I wouldn't have this problem. :)

How did Newegg screw up? You're the one who accidently sent it to your college address.

The point is that I didn't send it there... I hit the check box to ship to the same address as my billing info (here). FedEx also had my non-college address down as the intended destination when I called them.

1) Box of computer hardware shipped to wrong address. (Probably my fault)
2) Dropped off at door of wrong address in freezing cold, despite that I have not authorized unattended drop-offs.
3) Phoenix calls FedEx to re-route package, representative directs pickup of package at wrong address, on wrong package.
4) Phoenix sends away disgruntled FedEx driver working on Christmas Eve, calls FedEx, bitches more.
5) Pickup now not occuring until Monday, after box sits in freezing temps for a few nights, then more shipping to get here.
6) Little bro doesn't get Christmas presents. :(

Surprised it took so long for one of you jackasses to say that. :p

Have fun combing through the few thousand apartments in Blacksburg. :)
