Shiny new Dexter thread

So season 4's turning out to be a bit of a rehash. Deborah still has her relationship drama that no one cares about. Dexter is still having issues resolving his family life with serial killing hobby. Harry still pops in and glows obnoxiously. And we have yet another serial killer for Dexter to have a serial killer fight with, portrayed rather blandly by John Lithgow. Oh, and let's not forget about that horribly inane subplot involving Aster reaching adolescence and going through a rebellious stage. I thought I was watching Dexter, not According To Jim.

The best things, so far, this season have nipples on the ends of them. And I'm not talking about baby bottles.

I think that's the direction this season should go in. Make season 4 the season of incest. The ratings will be huge.
 
I think it's been good so far too. Watching Ep. 5 right now. The reporter is a little hottie, even if she is a bit flat-chested.
 
I like John Lithgow's acting a lot. He has this really somber and depressing face heh.

Though I will say that this season hasn't been as good as the others, but still can't really complain. The last episode was awesome.

It's pretty annoying since you know he's not going to catch the other serial killer until the last episode of the season. So there's really no suspense in this episodes in the middle of the season. Plus his wife Rita is still annoying as hell. It's like the writers want the audience to hate Rita. Are they just going to have Dex chase after another serial killer every season and have it conclude in the final episode of that season? Well, I'd probably still watch it since I really like the show and most of the actors 😛 - But I think they're going to have to come up with something different in future seasons, if there will be any. I'll stay away from Miami if there's so many serial killers there.


PS Dexter just married his Sister in real life =O - The actors who play Dex and Deb got married, that is. They are the best on the show, too.
 
I had the same thought about them reusing plots with different characters. There's got to be a twist coming - the writers can't be this simple minded. Even so, this episode was better than all the others this season. Sorry to see keith carradine leave. If the rita character gets anymore stifling, she's going to end up on dexter's table.

Deb doesn't look too skinny to me. She looks perfectly healthy. Girls don't need to have double D cups to be in good health.

I wonder how much weight the a -> dd silicone would add.

I don't think she's changed either - she's always been rail thin.
 
I was hoping for something of the book this time around. Astrid and Cody seemed ready for training last season. Now they're just annoying kids again.

For me, she screams "I am spastic, crazy. Watch out." It's as if she has a very mild form of tourrettes.
 
I have mixed emotions about this season. I liked that Lundy was back - but add that to La Guerta and Angel's romance - it's starting to feel a bit like a soap opera. I did like seeing the cute reporter naked. Rita is definately getting on my nerves - Dexter may be a master serial killer - but his pimp hand is weak.

Rita is a lot of work. Remember beforeshe hooked up with a serial killer she was married to a drug using wife beater.
She is way damaged goods.
And Julie Benz is reaching that age (37) where she is not the hot babe, but the hot milf.
