I got new tires about 5k miles ago. For some reason, when I have my windows down I hear this sound that sounds amost like metal "clink" that increases and decreases with speed.

I'm just wondering what would be a cause of this? A wheel bearing? It's only from the front driver side wheel area.

Thanks

Possible to record the sound? Make/Model/Year of car?

My guess would be worn tie rod ends/ failed lower control arm bushings, loose strut/shock mounts. You really need to jack up the front of the car and do some jimmy-ing with a crowbar to find what's acting loose.

There nearly 100 things that could be wrong with it though so its best just to take it to a trusted mechanic who can put it up on a lift for you or drive it around with you.

Is the sound still there while going straight or only on turns?

Jack up the car and rotate the individual tires manually.
