I was eyeing that solar charging kit. It said 289$ when it was counting down as the max price and said 'wait for price' or something like that while it counted down. I was exciting figuring it would probably be like 50% off or so and I would snag it.

Well, when it came due, it said 245$ for the cyber monday price...ok, not much of a discount but whatever....but the top price shot to 599$!!!! What should have been a 15% discount suddenly becomes 59%?! What?! Shifty!

If you mouse over the [v] more info box it shows list price, normal amazon price ($290), deal price. That's an extra $45 off the normal discounted price.

No, it was not a mouse over. It was 289 as the top price, then WHOLA, 599 was the top price when the deal came so the % of deal could be higher. This is just meant as a hot deal warning that the % of discount indicated for amazon is off from the lead up. Very shifty.
