Shift viewable image on laptop

Hi,
One of my clients recently dropped his laptop, and the right hand side of the LCD screen is cracked and completely unreadable. The other half is okay, however. He still wants to use the laptop for minor use. I set the resolution to a low 640 by 480 so that the viewable is smaller on the screen. Is there some program or way to shift the viewable screen to the left so that the entire viewing area is viewable on the broken lcd?

thanks!

The only thing I can think of is, right clicking on the desktop.... properties.... settings.... advanced... and check the tabs there to see if you can shift the image. Some drivers will have that feature and some won't.....

Not sure if there is a program out there that'll do it.
