I think my rig is pretty complete except in two areas, the ram and gpu. my rig is as follows:

Processor:AMD Opteron(tm) Processor 146 ~2.9GHz
Memory: 1024MB RAM
Hard Drive: 37GB Raptor 320GB Segate
Video Card: RADEON X850xt AGP
Monitor: View Sonic Vx2025wm
Sound Card: SB Audigy 2 ZS Pt
Speakers/Headphones: Logitech 5.1 x-530
Keyboard: Logitech mx-duo wireless
Mouse: Logitech mx500 on func pad

now I can either wait for price drops in C2D which are rumored to be soon and then get a whole new system, I can just get more ram and an agp x1950PRO, or i can get more ram a new mobo that supports pci-e and a pci-e graphics card. What are your thoughts guys. Personally I don't believe my cpu is the bottleneck at the moment but in stalker and fear ep. I would be both ram and slighly gpu limited.

you got a really good system there, awesome overclock on the opteron. I'd say just get a motherboard that supports both regular ddr ram and pci-e. So that way when you do a future upgrade, you'' already have an pci-e videocard, would just need an new motherboard, cpu and ram

Ok It sounds reasonable enough does anyone know waht kind of motherboard would be preferable then?

I found one for you, it based on the nforce 4 chipset.

MSI K8N NEO4-F nForce4 $75

I was looking on newegg and zipzoomfly, it seems like alot of the motherboards that support skt 939, nforce 4, nforce 4 ultra, ddr ram and pcie-16 seem to be out of stock.
