I noticed someone posted about double clicking the top right of a window to close it. I frequently use Alt Space X to maximize a window, Win+M to minimize all, and Alt F4 to close a window.
I frequently use Shift Delete to bypass the Recycle Bin when deleting files. Does anyone else have any quirky shortcut habits?

I use Win+L all the time. I no longer use Win+D since that fvcks up the widgets as well.
For those using Opera, search shortcuts are the greatest thing since slice bread. I have "g" assigned to google, "t" to torrent spy, "r" to rottentomatoes, "w" to wikipedia, "d" to dictionary. Basically, you can just go to the address bar and put in "g apples" and it'll search for apples in google or if you put in "w apples" it'll search for apples in wikipedia. Sooooo convenient
That's hot. One of the main reasons I used A9 for a while is that I could type in "a9.com/apples" for a quick search. Of coure, I would rather just install a toolbar on this POS laptop, but I have no admin priv.

I use shift-delete sometimes.
I have a lot of custom shortcuts set up in MS Word.
Ctrl+D = Degree symbol
Ctrl+P = Plus/Minus
Ctrl+M = Greek Letter Mu
Ctrl+< = Less than or equal to
Ctrl+> = Greater than or equal to
Probably others. I know where they are when I need them.

Yeah, I'd like Firefox also. And Flash while we are at it.Originally posted by: kevinthenerd
Firefox does searches like that. Type "wp apple" as an example to take you automatically to a Wikipedia page. "dict apple" will take you to a dictionary page. "imdb Grease" will take you to an IMDB page. There are a lot of search engines that work like that, and you can even get more.Originally posted by: VTHodge

Yes. Press alt, space, N. For Firefox, you have to press alt then space relatively quickly.

That and Ctrl+Shift+Escape (opens task manager) are shortcuts that I'm constantly using.
