Well the engine will run and you can drive the boat. as long as you dont try to stop or turn or turn anything on.

Only if your hands are useless. I truly believe that whole stigma came from people that never held a wrench in their hands.

I bought a jetski last year with a seized engine for $180. Bought a rebuild kit and a bilge pump for another $200, rode it the whole summer and sold it for $1250 in sept.

yes, halik, you are correct
if you do the labor yourself, then boats are...

floating things that require maintenance

That's true, although I've seen a few around here (FL) that have been stored outside without a cover and for most of 'em the floor gets soft and they only way yo six it is to strip it right down to the hull and start over. I'd much rather fix/replace mechanicals than mess with fiberglass..

It's just two cables and a wheel.

Prob. easy fix then. A co-worker is giving away a boat, 19.5ft cuddy, Mecr 140 I/O. She left it out for 2.5 years without a cover and the rain just ate it, (FL, rains a LOT). So far no takers, I guess the motor is looking really bad too. What a shame to let that happen..

Sounds like a gay porn actor.

You dont know who Bart Starr is?

I don't think he does, maybe he's not as old as us. Gotta admit though, if you didn't know he is that would be a great porn film name..
