Sheriff gave me a ticket for something I didn't do. What can I do?

Ok removed that comment about the sheriff, sorry if it has offended anyone. And thanks for all the helpful information. The court date is in 2 months and I will have to pay the fine on that date. Whether I win or lose this case, I will have to pay up front FIRST. If I win then I get the money back. God knows how long it will take for the city to give me back the money. Does anyone know what is the fine for running a red light? Now I have to save up by not visiting the hot deals section.

Man, when you consider what these guys put up with 95% of the time for the pay they get, if one makes a mistake, well, stuff happens... I dunno, I've never been pulled over for doin nothing before....

just remember when in court.... it is your honor to the judge... and when referring to a cop/pig/police they are officers.. they judge will abruptly correct you if not... remember: officers and your honor

My brother is a sworn LEO in Colorado - 15 years. He has used worse language when referring to cops. I guess he should know, he is one.

With 4 witnesses you should be able to beat the cop. But you all must dress nice, and be respectfull of the judge. If you don't have all 4 of you there at court you stand a good chance of losing.
