Is it just me or is it ironic that you are "old-fashioned" enough to ask her dad for her hand in marriage, yet you're currently having sex with her (sorry if I'm wrong on this point, but if you're staying at a B&B for 3 days it seems like a safe assumption). I guess the irony dissolves if you've also gotten her dad's permission to deflower her prenuptially, but that doesn't seem likely Anyway, congrats on finding the one, the three years that I've been married have been the best of my life.

She and I live in Vancouver. Her family lives in the interior of BC... The Okanagan. They have a nice place on a cliff overlooking the lake. It was a dark snowy night, and we went for a walk down to this viewpoint where you can see the lights of all the houses around there lighting up the water and snow.

Make it special, but don't make a huge deal out of it or it'll ruin the surprise.

We have been living together for almost 3 years.... So i think its well known in her family that we have had sexual relations.
