If you think this is expensive try pricing some Montblanc pens...sure you can sign your name with a 19 cent Bic...you also can tell time with a $9 Timex as opposed to a Rolex.

I'm confused by the pictures. If you look at the additional ones it shows a FOUNTAIN PEN as well. Maybe there's a whole family of them?
It's hard for me to believe that anybody'd pay $120 for a BALLPOINT pen. I remember around 1950 when my grandfather showed me the "new" ballpoint pen he had that I think he paid $15 or $20 for (in 1950 dollars) and how proud he was of it.

Me, I'll stick with refills for my Parker pen.
Can't imagine what they'll ask for a refill for a $120 ballpoint. Bet it doesn't write any smoother than my old Parker ballpoint.

I know why the pen is on sale for $29.95.... because no one in their right mind would drop $119 on a freakin' pen. And anyone who has, should be stabbed to death with it.
The people that don't understand how someone can pay a high price for a pen probably don't understand how anyone can pay a high price for art or spending money on computer parts only to get a few fps higher in a game. For some a pen is a thing of beauty, a fine example of craftsmanship and a piece of art. If you don't understand it fine but don't question anyone else buying a fine pen. Ask yourself if you've made any purchases that someone else would say you were out of your mind to buy.
So that means i can't have an opinion about it? Even if i can look at it from another perspective and comprehend why someone might do such a thing doesn't mean i can't present my view.

Things like this exist so that you can wear hawaiian shirts and sandals; then when some stuck up person is an ass to you, you get to whip it out and say "This *pen* costs more than you make in a week"

One of the best fountain pens I have ever used was a Sheaffer - lost it in school - i am sure it was stolen ... never used their ballpoint ones ...so cannot compare them ... but as far as fountain pen ... it was smooth and bold and you could sketch with it - the flow of ink was constant and even on parchment - worked smoothly ... i remember during college trips in architecture school ... leaning against a tree and scribbling thumbnail sketches with it - worked at most angles than any other pen - fond memories ... i know i know ... too passionate about a pen ....
