Shaving for work

I shave every day, more of a habit from my time in the air force. Man I used to hate the people that could get away with not shaving. If i didnt, my stubble would grow in all white trashy, i'd look like joe dirt in a week.

I can go over a week without shaving, its amazing. I do get stubble, but genetics have blessed me with a very slow and sparse facial hair coupled with blond hair.

Even going something like a couple of months without shaving, I have nothing to show but 1 or 2 long hairs.

Genetics have blessed you with lacking masculinity? :sneaky:

I am a hairy bastard, but I go with the clean look and am a lawyer, so I shave every work day.

The only exception was when I went camping for four days without shaving. I did not shave the next day for work, just to freak people out.

Mustaches and/or full beards are fine for professionals and lawyers, especially older ones.

i work in a government building as a contractor and have to dress business every day, and i will go 2-3 days w/out shaving. i simply do that only because it hurts and gets irritated if i shave every day. it does the same if i wait 2 days as well but sometimes i just do it. other times i'll just wait 3 days.

i look sexy regardless though.

i shave twice a week cause im lazy and no one cares

if i shave monday morning i can actually go all week

I shave every other day unless I am in court; then I shave that morning. I haven't shaved since Wednesday and didn't wear a suit today. The boss is not impressed and told me I need to wear my 'uniform'.

a "business casual" office here, which means no ties, but button down shirts. And casual friday is still no shorts or t-shirts.

I have been shaving every other day - if only just to keep the irritation down. Ingrowns suck and I tend to get them every couple weeks. The first week it was every day, then every day buy friday, now I'm down to every other. Nobody says anything and I got a really noticeable shadow come 5pm the 2nd day.

Depends on how fast your beard grows out. I can usually pass on shaving one day and still look alright. I shave most every day though.

i like to go every other day. day 1 is clean shaven, day 2 is the even stubble look.

if i go to day 3 (like today for instance) the mustache/chin section gets too pronounced.

I have a goatee which I trim probably once every 7-10 days. I shave the rest of my face every day before work (but strictly on work days; on the weekend, I don't bother). I use an electric razor and I've never had a problem with it, although I have very little facial hair outside of the general goatee area.

I think that facial hair is acceptable in an office environment, but it needs to look neat. If your stubble grows out in a very uniform pattern, you can pull it off, but most people just look like dirty hoboes if they just leave it for a few days. At least trim it and make it a uniform length...

When I worked construction, unless I was working on a hazmat jobsite, I shaved as often as I felt like it...or not.

Working in an office environment, I shaved every day.

Do what your boss's boss does. If he is clean shaven every day then he thinks it is important to look that way for work. He would also look down on everyone who doesn't shave thus spoiling your chances for promotion.

If he goes scruffy then so can you.
