You usually needs to wear an electric in for 2-3weeks, I had really bad irritation when I went electric, but its alot quicker than blade!

I also have sensitive skin and use a Mach 3 and Gillette Foamy (Aloe & Allantoin). I must be the only one that does not use gel. I've tried it a few times but I find that foam works better for me. Now electrics well ouch!

I go back and forth every few weeks. I prefer the closeness of a blade. I use menthol shaving creme and it leaves a really nice feel to my face. I feel more refreshed after using a blade. It's like that little bit of skin burn helps you wake up and get ready for the day :)

Mach3 with Gillete gel.

Man some of you guys need to learn to shave. I have TRIED to cut myself w/ a mach3 and I can't. you can do it in your damn sleep.

electrics are annoying...they also irritate my face.

Electrics sting at first but after a while the skin gets used to it. It's also faster than lathering up.

when i started, for first couple of years at least, i used to exclusively use an electric and it gave me a super close shave w/ no irritation...

then in college i started using Mach 3 and it was good, not as close as an electric, but still very good, almost efforleess (IF the blade is new)

this morning i used the same electric again for first time in quite a while, and thought it was fast easy and not messy, i went over it with the Mach 3 cuz it missed some spots... irritated the hell out of my skin though after all that... and i sometimes shave w/ only water...

Okay, seriously here... can someone please explain to me the point of shaving gel? :) I know it sounds dumb, but I used it and then one time I went on holidays and forgot it so I tried water (with my razor) and it was fine. Its so much quicker just to splash water on my face so thats what I do now. Is it cause I don't have very thick whiskers yet? At first it felt a little strange but no more than first shaving, and I guess I don't have sensitive skin hehe.

I hate shaving so I try to shave as little as often but when I do i use a Shick Diamond FX with Edge menthol gel. The shick dianmond blades are far better than maach 3.

Blade, clippers, depilatory cream....used them all. Blade is the easiest and quickest, clippers are great for edging, trimming, and lining, and the cream will not cut you!!!! :D

Blade. Electric if I don't need a close shave & I'm lazy or in a hurry (like weekend mornings).

My gf just got me the Braun Sycnro with that charge and clean base :)D:D:D). The best shave I've ever had. I used to use an older braun electric. It was good for about 3 years, but like PCaddict's, it won't take a charge...it last about 1 shave.

I can never go back to a blade.

Gotta use the blade baby. Mach3 and Edge gel w/aloe for sensitive skin. That combo rules.

thats me all the way

Well I have no problems with my electric.

I also use the Mach3 razor if I want the extra close shave.
But I use the electric most the time its easy, quick, and does just about the same as a razor on my face.

ATM, I use a bulky, older Norelco electric for my face (slow-goin' with those older blades/heads), and a newer Norelco model's trimmer (on the back, as for the heads---they don't work right) to get at those hairs just under the nose. I only use the razor rarely as I've nicked myself one too many times. ;)

Hopefully, I'll be getting one of those newer models soon, which will save me valuable time in the morning, leave my skin less rough than medium-grit sandpaper, and make for much less clutter in the bathroom. :D

shaving is better with blade ...electric seems to pull a bit more and that hurts :p
