Shaun Alexander, clearly the biggest dissappointment this season

i have a fantasy football team that started Justin Vargas and Ryan Grant over Maurice Jones Drew and Shaun Alexander.

RB for the Oakland Raiders, he's put up good numbers, well until yesterday that is. but he looks pretty good.

Steven Jackson didnt do so hot either, no to mention Frank Gore.

Jacksons been better lately and Gore, although expectations were high, still isn't a proven back.

Shaun Alexander was amazing for a couple of seasons.

tons of RB disappointments this year..t his year is all about the QBs and WRs

LJ, SA, Ronnie BRown, Cadillac.

no more drafting 2 RBs first around.. draft a stud RB (westbrook, AP, LT..) and then QBs/WRs.. there will ALWYAS ALWAYS be RBs that you can pick off the waivers later on (grant, kolby, graham, dayne, etc)

i rem. the days where you could draft 2 stud RBs.. Priest + Dominick davis.. or faulk and rudi.. ahhh

I think that is all you can hope for from running backs anymore. If they're good, they'll give you 7-8 solid seasons (~1000 yds), and if they're very good they'll have a breakout season or two where they'll do something special. QBs are about the same anymore as well. Certainly there's some notable exceptions, but I think people are way to quick to pronounce players as the next big thing (as in worthy of the Hall of Fame).

So they have a Justin Fargas and a Justin Vargas?? Both RB's? What are the odds of that!?

He has always been overrated. Even as an MVP he was overrated, when the Seahawks made it to the Super Bowl I never had any confidence in him.

no mention of Maroney? this guy was a first round pick in most leagues. though it's not his fault considering who he's playing with.

but i would still say Shaun Alexander is the biggest bust.

Marvin Harrison for me; though he is injured. Still disappointing to have basically wasted such a high draft pick on him.

There are two Adrian Petersons, so...

Frank Gore has been the most disappointing

Can't blame S jax for the injury and since coming back he's been putting up decent numbers.

Steve Smith has been a huge bust

in Gore's defense, it's not his fault the Niners are down big early in games, essentially abandoning the run.

I wouldn't say the biggest bust, but ya, he has disappointed alot of people/fans. I still won't boo him at the games, but it is a let down.

That said, he has look much improved after getting that cast off and has added to the teams performance.
