I used XP until the 7 beta and I haven't gone back to XP at all. 7 runs faster and much better overall. And both are 32 bit versions. I don't like that you lose some control with 7 but when you turn off auto updates and UAC it is alright.

The game is pretty fun I thought. I just have a lot of games to play and only played it for a few hours. I would be surprised if it is over $30. And FutureMark makes benchmarking programs. Why wouldn't you expect them to only support DX10 and up?

Well, if they want to reduce the market for their product, that's their own problem. There are probably gaming rigs out there that were built within the last two years running Windows XP simply because people despised Vista.

Most people are moving on to Windows 7. Everyone I know is.

52% still use XP 32 bit, DX10 has been adopted by less than 30%.

what you and 'everyone you know' are doing is irrelevant. only a completely retarded developer would disregard more than half the market for no good reason.

52% is surprising, I expected higher. But that isn't the point. Win7 isn't out yet, so check that again in 6 months. I'm sure it will drop dramatically. Pretty much everyone believes Win7 is bridging the gap. I was saying it since before Vista released, Vista is a gap. Just like ME. XP will be like 2k was when XP came out. A lot of hesitation but eventually everyone will move to Win7. There's no reason not to.

I agree. Win 7 already has a 10% share on steam and it isnt even out yet.

Release is next week, Nov. 4, at $19.99. It's a good price, but I'm surprised by the lack of marketing. It's rare that you see a game give just a week's notice between announcing a release date and release.
