1820 euros = $2400 US approx. Jeebus, you can get a 37" 1080p LCD for about $1000 these days.

We're getting closer and closer to the point where LCD computer monitors and LCD TVs will sort of blend together. Saying that I can also say 1080p certainly isn't wasted on such a monitor. I can tell the difference between 720p and 1080i/p on a 24" (1920x1200) monitor - 32" is going to make it all the more obvious.

Granted, monitors of such size are largely best used for as a personal display, not one you'd want to share with several people.

Well, thats my point. If it is used as a television in the home the viewers will sit at least 5 feet away and at that point the 1080p becomes pretty much non-apparent versus 720p or 1080i

..costco is selling the 40" bravia for 1700.00 and it's 1080i and 720p. Looks as good as the best plasma and better then any of the vizio's LCD/Plasma. Black is black.

because there are people (like me) that don't want to have a big ass TV in their living room but want a smaller but high quality TV set
