I called Frys in Houston, and they say the price is 127$. Does anyone have the scanned Frys ad which shows 97$, so I can take it to the Frys store.

No, sorry. :( If it helps, the paper I saw it in was Wednesday's edition of The Oregonian, on the back of the sports section. Maybe you could find a copy at a bookstore or library, or ask your local Fry's to call the one in Wilsonville, OR.
It's possible it was a 1-day sale but I really doubt it.

I got this system from outpost online a couple of weeks ago, and I'm satisfied with it. I don't have much experience with home theaters but for the money I think this is a great buy. The speakers are not loud when in surround sound, but they are good enough for my small bedroom.
One thing I love is the remote. I know, it's huge... but for the same reason you will never lose it. The neat factor is that it is completely programmable so I have every function that I need from my other 3 remotes in one single device. Very convenient.
I also like the fact that the speakers come ready to be mounted to the wall, you only need a few screws and you are good to go.

I think all the fry's ads are regional. Not sure they would honor a fry's ad from a different area or state.

Of all places, I found this at Amazon:

1) There are no sound inputs, as other reviewers have pointed out. Personally, I don't mind, as I have my VCR running through my home stereo system already.

2) The default sound level is quite loud, but this can easily be adjusted on the "Preferences > Dynamics" menu. You can only get to this menu if there is not a DVD in the player, though, which is just stupid.

3) The unit I ordered came with the parental control settings ON, and the default password given in the manual ("2001") is incorrect. I hope that the tech support phone number will be able to help on Monday, otherwise I will have to send this back.

4) The password for the parental control is 3308, not 2001. I got a hold of tech support finally, so anyone that is stuck can give that a try.

Went to the local frys and asked a salesperson how the quality was of the sharp n he told me it sounded like ass, exact words. i listened to it n it did sound pretty bad but then it was on a radio station with lots of static. so decided to buy one jus for the hell of it cuz its only 100 bucks. took it home, tried it, sounds decent for a small room but for 100 bucks i guess its ok. only thing thats annoying about it is the fact that it seems to constantly has a buzzing noise to it while using it. but other than that, i tested a few movies last night sounds ok but nothing compared to my normal theatre system.

You're not alone. That constant buzzing noise is why I returned mine.

i just bought a set to try out last night, and i think i am keeping it. :)

yes, it does has the annoying buzzing sound when volume is at 6 or higher. but i think it's only $129, and i really like the programmable remote control, very easy to program the buttons :)

also i got the black/charcoal set, i think it is much better than the silver one, has a classier look.

I bought an orange color digital audio cable to replace the regular rca cables today, and wow, the sound on DVD is MUCH better with the new cable!! the overal volume is louder, more bass, and it actually has surround sound effect!! i am not an audiophile, and i never owned a home theatre before, but i am pretty satisfy with it.

oh, can someone please verify where do they have it for $97?????
