If you look at the striping between the 2 suits, the $149 one is very different and more my style. I'm also not a fan of the non-cuffed pants look. Seems to casual to me.

And to correct myself, the $189 one I bought was actually $149 on Amazon - it was $189 on Darya Trading's site (suits4menonline.com), but Amazon did not have my size for a couple weeks. Was about to bite on Darya's site, and then noticed Amazon all of a sudden had my size - so I snagged it for $149.
 
Question: If I take a 43" jacket, but need a 32" waist on the pants, could I still order one of these suits? Or is that too much of a drop?

Everytime I bought a suit, it was always understood that you need to get it fitted. 42 S does not mean it also comes with a 42" pant. That is why I did not bite on these.

Probably too much of a drop. The website says they have a 6" drop standard, and you generally have room for 2-3" more of tailoring. Your drop is 11", so you would probably have to buy separates (coat and pants separately, not as a package deal).

Same problem exactly here... I already had trouble with off-the-rack stuff because of my height (36" inseam). Now that I get my butt in shape, I can't buy ANYTHING. I need a 44 chest, 33-34 waist... argh...
 
I'm going to play Devil's Advocate for LegendKiller here.

The prices for these suits do look unbelievable. This suit, http://www.amazon.com/Presidential-S...4392496&sr=1-1 for example has a MSRP of $1469 and is being sold at $99. That is a 93.3% discount. Really? It's the equivalent of getting an i7 960 for $39.19 (on Newegg for $569.99).

I don't know anything about fashion but these prices are a bit incredulous for me. Still, I may order one of these just to see if Amazon is full of shit. I won't be expecting $1469 worth, but it'll be interesting nonetheless.
 
Sorry for the delayed update folks. I got my suit and, from my limited fashion sense, it looks very good comparably to my olden Macy's suits (all in the $300 price range or so). Granted, they're all 4-5 years old, but this one looks nicer.

I'm pretty much a perfect 42L, so all I had to do was spend $12 to get the pants hemmed. I'll try to take a few pictures of the suit and put them up here.

In all likelihood will pick up another 1 - 2 to replace my older suits. I certainly don't believe this to be a $2100 suit by any stretch of the imagination. But as long as it looks good and doesn't fall apart on me, hell if I care.
 
I know practically nothing about fashion, but the suit I ordered for $99 from Amazon looked cheap. I can't explain it. The suit was nice, but it sure didn't feel like I had a good suit. Then again, I know practically nothing about suits and I can't complain for the price.

Ok, been busy, but I happened to be in court today and had the wife snap a few pics, or it was never going to happen. I benefit from being pretty close to a perfect 42L - pants could probably be tightened up a little bit, but I only spent $16 total just to hem them up - Everything else fit as is.

You should have your tailor re-hem your pants shorter. It looks rather sloppy with the pants crunching up above your shoes. The hem should come straight down to your shoes, so if it bunches up like that it is too long.

I tend to agree. In a hurry, I had my dry cleaners do it, and they could be a bit shorter.

Not as good but might help someone? I went the other day to the Men's Warehouse I asked the manager if she would help me. I told her what I was looking to spend and what kind of deal she could workout for me. Everything had to be tailored to fit and she helped on price on that. I walked out with $1600 worth of suits, shirts, ties, extra pants for $ 650.

Got mine. The sizing runs a tad large (I'm a 38 dead on) with the shoulders sticking out perhaps 1/2" too far. Not a big deal since I'm still gaining weight.

The waist is normally fitted and nowhere near a "tailored" or slim fit.

Otherwise looks good. Sleeves and waist need to be adjusted. I'd say these suits are worth maybe $300 or so?

lol, not even wool. Epic fail.

That isn't worth $300, that's worth less than $100. Probably $99.
