Are you being sarcastic? Is that not a good deal?

Edit: Looks like the deal is going to run for 24 hours, or untill they sell out, which could happen soon, they sold 1500 in the first hour

Even at $1,361 shipped, it's still cheaper than other places online. Amazon has it for $1,499. If you are interested in that particular model, it's a good deal. It's the value model of their 46" tv's. A good deal if you want a less expensive but good 46".

I'm not sure, I guess quasi-sarcastic? ;)

I'd rather buy a smaller 42" 1080p LCD for the same price or close to it.

Update:

I went to Sharp's website and couldn't find a 46" tv with the specs that QVC has listed, so I called QVC and got the model number. It turns out the specs and model number they have listed on their site are for a 37" unit. So I called back and explained that the specs and model number they have are for a different TV, the rep looked at their internal information and said it is indeed a 46" tv ,it's 1080i, and it has a built in high def tuner. He couldn't find the correct model number. Since they have a 30 day no questions asked return policy, free pick up and return shipping, I ordered one. So I either got a pretty good deal on a new tv, or I'll be sending it back on QVC's nickle.

It's now sold out, 7500 in less than 24 hours.

Edit: Found the right info.

I wish QVC's customer service was able to provide you with a model number.

I think this is the Sears B.F. deal, which will be $999.99.

Also, Office Depot had this a few weeks ago for $1199.99.

Link to product specs for LC-46D43U

I noticed Sharp has already pulled the main add off their website for the above linked TV. So this must be available in very limited quantities where ever you can find it.

They tell me this is it.

aquos lc 46d43u

So it ends up as a warm deal after all. The 6 payment same as cash deal helps a little.

I always like to bite the bullet on tech deals, by the time you pay it off you are are reminded that the prices are that much lower.

Regarding Sharp's AQUOS line, didn't they pull the same LCD panel bait and switch as Samsung did on their computer monitors?

Since it is sold out, it doesn't really matter, but it is not 1080i. I'm sure it will accept a 1080i signal and downrez to 720p. No digital set is 1080i, it would either be 720p or 1080p.

I didn't say it would not accept a 1080i signal. I said it is not a 1080i display. Any digital display is natively progressive which is two interlaced frames(720P, 1080P). There is no 1080i display.
