Was watching a rerun tonight and Barbara takes a picture Kevin and then brags about t monile's super fast network. This used to be one of my favorite shows. I stopped watching right there. Will never return now, I will not tolerate advertising slipped falsely into any show's dialogue like this.

Cubans indignation in that last bit almost feels like he's thinking "WTF you doing in the middle of a taped show, MF??!! WTF with this product placement shit!!"

This show is complete garbage. My wife made me watch it 3 or 4 times before I finally explained to her that it was complete horseshit and that these people were basically stealing from the truly productive people in the world.

"Random Guest": Oh, I invented this great idea and brought it to you to help me get it going.

"Investor": OK, I will give you $50,000, or about the price of the sound system in my car, to help you get going and you will give me majority control of your company.

"What Random Guest Should Say": Oh, ummm, fuck you.

yeah they make it sound like "oh ill loan you money and ill just take 30% of your company" but in reality its "ill legally take 30% of your profits and if there is any hard decisions to make ill do that too, and if you dont like my ideas you can complain to my lawyers"

and of course, that 30% is now simply new overhead for that company without any real help besides a financial loan that will be gone in a few months at best. then you get to build your empire only for some asshat to say "hey, WE built this thing together!". ugh... and they wont even take on companies that are in trouble! they only accept offers from people for have a really good start and likely would do great without help anyway... i guess nobody can say the show's hosts are dumb...

they glamorize loans. make everyone think loans are a good thing. just sickening.
