We have a half-dozen laptops (same model) used for trade shows, currently running Windows 2000 and a set of client and server applications that take a lot of time to upgrade and maintain.
With Win2000 we can image the server partition after updates and copy it to other machines in a lot less time than re-doing the updates.
Since Server 2003 uses product activation, will image copying work or will it complain about the change in network card address, HD serial number, etc.? Again, this is to save work on updates not to avoid buying licenses.
