Sharing question regarding Barricade router.

I have a desktop and a laptop connected through the barricade. I can go to any folder on either machine and make it a shared folder. Works fine. But I can't enable the entire c: drive to be shared. For example when I go to my C: drive on my desktop and click the sharing tab, it was already set to "Shared this folder". But the Shared name is C$.
Why does it only give an option to Share This Folder? Shouldn't I be able to share the entire drive?
BTW both machines are running win2K, desktop is partitioned into C:, D:, E:. laptop is just C: And I am the only one that uses these two so I am logged in under Admin on both.
IS there something else I need to install software wise to get the entire drive(s) shared?

Not sure if this is what you need as far as an expanation, but the C$ represents a hidden share. (the $ sign is you clue there) The drive is being shared, it's just not visable via explorer. Have you tried mapping a drive to the C$?

If you don't want to use the default hidden share, you should be able to click on new share, and create a new one.

Thanks for the info. I think I follow you. What I did was to create a new share as you suggested. It worked fine.
What is the difference in Mapping the drive and creating a new share as I mentioedn?
thanks
