Sharing modem connection with netgear 314 router possible?

theoretically if you can use it as a hub/switch it should be possible. Get it to work as a hub/switch and you should be able to use ICS or Wingate to get it to work.

Yup its a cable/dsl router but just wondering if I can somehow use it to share a modem access. Shiva I can use it as a switch right now. So I just plug the computer with the modem connection to one of the port (not the uplink/internet connection port) and I'm set right? I was thinking of this setup but don't know if it'll work or not. Using the computer with modem connection I use a cross over cable and connected it to the uplink/internet connection port and the rest of the computer connect to the normal ports.. Anybody try or done this (using netgear 314 router to share a modem connection)?
