Sharing files on university network

How do you folks share files these days in the dorms. My cousin moved in a few days ago and wanted to dl some anime she's been watching during the summer.

Normally, she uses torrent but I told her not to since I didn't want her maxing out her speed uploading. Is dc++ hubs the way to go now?

MODs removed if you think it's inappropriate, but these anime are not licensed hence legal.

Call up RESNET and ask them you want to DL anime and they'll help you out

most universities have their own filesharing systems in place. ask her to ask her computer friends. if they don't know, chances are her school is behind the times.

still, regardless of the content, these networks are often monitored by external parties in some form or another.

when i was in college, i put my files onto a cdr and walked it over to my friend at the other dormitory.
