Sharing drives/folders in XP

I am trying to share drives\folders\files etc in XP pro.

I have prevuosly turned off simple file sharing (and its still not ticked) but do not have access to a sharing tab (I am the administrator).

When I right click on a drive there is no "sharing and security" option and as I say on drive/folder properties there is no sharing tab.

I have previously been able to do this but havent looked at this for some time and did have a system crash the other day losing one of my profiles. Obviously something has gone screwey on my system.

I tried enabling simple file sharing and then disabling it again but no effect.

Can anyone plese help

Have you tried enabling file sharing in your network properties?

Do you mean file and printer sharing?? As this is enabled.

Can nobody help me with this???

Is my only resort a reinstall thereby losing all my settings and starting from scratch!

PLEASE somebody must have the answer

Right click the file and or folder (in my computer) and then hit properties... Then click the sharing tab.
