My main computer that has the printer installed is vista 64bit. The other computers around the house are XP pro 32bit. I can see the printer but when I try to print it says it does not the driver. I go to install additional drivers but it won't let it happen. I have a canon MP780 AIO printer. Can anyone tell me what needs to be done? I have googled but not found my answer. Thanks.

I am afraid that a solid solution entails getting a Network Ready Printer.

While having a network enabled printer is ideal, it is hardly required. I'm not in front of a Vista machine now, but there should be an optiopn in the printer control panel to allow for additional drivers or some such entry.
Or if you map to the printer on the client PC (XP computers) and update or add the driver from there it should work.

If all else fails you can get a standalone print server for $30-$50 and use that, that way you don't have to have the computer, with the printer plugged into it, on all the time.
